Qubit Institute will work on the CyberseQurity section of the Cibersecurity certification from ISACA Barcelona Chapter.

On January, 29th 2016, ISACA Barcelona Chapter and barcelonaqbit have signed a collaboration agreement in order to work on the CiberseQurity section of the new international cybersecurity certification from ISACA. The term CyberseQurity is the short word for “quantum cybersecurity”, and it was created and registered by barcelonaqbit (bqb).

Both entities have agreed to promote the adoption of new technologies that improve organizations’ cybersecurity and the awareness of leaders, managers, technicians and other users against cyber threats that may come soon.

This agreement has been signed in Barcelona, which has an important scientific and business structure, with international leaders such as ICFO (Institute of Photonic Sciences), IFAE (Institute for High Energy Physics) and APWG (Anti-Phishing Working Group). All of them will contribute to consolidate CyberseQurity as the new technology that will improve society security.

On the one hand, Ramsés Gallego, President of ISACA Barcelona Chapter , said: “We are very pleased with the signing of this agreement as it will enable us, from Barcelona, to incorporate into our international certification the concept of CyberseQurity”. ISACA is an independent, nonprofit, global association that engages in the development, adoption and use of globally accepted, industry-leading knowledge and practices for information systems. Previously known as the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, ISACA now goes by its acronym only, to reflect the broad range of IT governance professionals it serves.

On the other hand, Alfonso Rubio-Manzanares, President of barcelonaqbit (bqb), said “ISACA Barcelona Chapter, the most important institution in the field of professional certifications and accreditations of international information technology, has a really important role in the adoption of appropriate procedures for achieving this objective, so, from bqb, we are very pleased to collaborate”. David Arcos, Director of the Training Area of barcelonaqbit and CTO of Qubit Institute, explained that the new quantum technologies applied to telecommunications and encryption make life safer (that is to say, harder for cybercriminals). He also stated that “Qubit Institute was founded with the international will to train the best professionals in CyberseQurity and quantum information”.

barcelonaqbit is the international meeting point between research and market about quantum information and cyberseQurity. It is a Think Thank based in Barcelona that links all the community around business opportunities with quantum technologies.
